Description
Essentially, the theory of pitch distribution is learned through actual games, but you can train your baseball brain by thinking about pitch distribution according to the problems in this book. This is a recommended book that can be trained anywhere. --- Motonobu Tanishige, former professional baseball player* baseball commentator In baseball, you can learn from the very basics of pitch distribution to the latest theory (pitch tunnel)! [Main contents] Chapter 1: Basics of Pitch Distribution What type of pitch* and course should the first pitch be thrown to a hitter whom you are facing for the first time? etc. Chapter 2: Pitch distribution for different types of hitters A hitter who, at the top of his game, has his grip above the shoulder line and his bat slightly laid down. Which course is the most effective pitch for this type of hitter? etc. Chapter 3: Basics of Pitch Distribution by Count After the middle of the game, when the count is 0-0, how should you pitch? etc. Chapter 4: Basics of pitch distribution by situation In a situation with a runner on first base, what kind of pitch should be thrown to what course in order to prevent a pinch-hit situation from spreading out? What kind of pitch should be thrown to what course? etc. Use the basis for thinking, not guessing As various data have been calculated, we have come to understand the trends of various pitches and pitch distribution. However, the rules of baseball have not changed over the years, and what is done in accordance with those rules remains the same. In pitch distribution, we need to consider what kind of pitches we need to distribute while keeping in mind the points that will remain the same and the points that will change. In this book, we have compiled the theories and basic concepts of pitch distribution in the form of questions. First, learn the basics in this book, and then use it in your own field. We also hope that you will not simply apply the contents of this book to your own pitch distribution, but rather use the contents of this book as a basis for thinking about pitch distribution.
