詩人・石牟礼道子と染織家・志村ふくみ。
現代日本への危機感を募らせた二人は、次世代に残したい最後のメッセージを新作能「沖宮」に託した。
「沖宮」は戦に散った天草四郎と生き残った幼い少女、そして、人々の死と再生の物語。シテは若宗家・金剛龍謹。
本書は、志村ふくみの能衣裳や、原作の舞台である天草・島原の風景を、写真界のノーベル賞といわれるハッセルブラッド賞受賞の石内都が撮り下ろした「沖宮」の世界に誘うイメージブック。
